1.4 'Broker', 'product' or 'service provider' means the supplier, distributor or provider of any service or product promoted on this website or made available via this website.
1.5 'service' or 'services' means the service of providing quotes and introducing you to you to a broker, product or service provider by the uklifeinsurance.co.uk website.
1.6 'estimate', 'quote' or 'quotation' means a price provided by a broker, product or service provider on the basis of the information you have provided. In providing you with a quote we are not able to guarantee the availability of the product, the service or the price provided as you will need to deal directly with the broker, product or service provider to make a purchase.
1.7 'agreement', 'conditions' or 'terms' means any condition, terms, or all conditions and agreements made in these Terms and Conditions

2. Use of the Service

2.1 This Site is aimed at UK residents and nothing within it or these Terms and Conditions constitutes an offer or promotion of services or products to persons outside the United Kingdom. We do not make any warranty or representation that the services we offer are available or appropriate for use by those outside the UK. 2.5 In the case of all insurances the level of cover and the amount you pay is determined by the answers you provide to certain questions and therefore you should answer all questions in good faith, truthfully and fully and to the best of your knowledge and belief. If you are a business user you should make specific enquiries of partners, directors and senior management involved in the business and its subsidiaries and you must tell the insurer of anything that may be relevant or important for the insurer to know so that they can make a decision on whether to offer cover and the terms to be applied.
If you fail to provide complete and accurate information:
- 2.5.1 any insurance product purchased may be void (meaning you will not be able to make a claim);
- 2.5.2 you may have to pay additional premiums under your policy to reflect any increased insurance risk as a result.
2.6 Uklifeinsurance.co.uk shall be entitled to use any information by you (including personal data) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and our privacy policy.
2.7 If you choose to purchase or use a broker, product or service provider directly you should also read their terms and conditions. The broker, product or service provider's terms and conditions will cover any transaction or agreement between you and the broker, product or service provider, whereas these Terms and Conditions agreed with us relate only to your use of this Site and provision of our services.
2.8 Uklifeinsurance.co.uk reserves the right to limit, suspend or terminate your use of the Service or any part of it at any time, for any reason, at its absolute discretion.

3. Our Services; What services do we provide?

3.1 Uklifeinsurance.co.uk will only provide a quotation or an estimate and introduction to a relevant third-party. We will not give any advice or make a recommendation for you. Uklifeinsurance.co.uk will process your enquiry and introduce you to an FCA authorised broker, namely Essential Finance Group (UK) Limited, who can advise and make a recommendation for you after they have assessed your needs for life insurance, income protection and/or critical illness cover. We accept no liability whatsoever for the terms applying to an insurance contract entered into with any broker, product or service provider or complaints that may arise directly in connection with your insurance product purchased.
3.2 All information we supply to you will be in the English language. The law of England and Wales applies to the services we provide, and the courts of England and Wales have the non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes about our services.

4. Whose products do we offer?

4.1 We do not directly sell any insurance products to you. We gather information from you and use this to obtain estimated quotations from a range of insurers. It is then up to you to discuss/arrange suitable cover with Essential Finance Group (UK) Limited who will attempt to make contact with you.
4.2 The broker Essential Finance Group (UK) Limited, that uklifeinsurance.co.uk will introduce you to offer products from a;
- 4.2.1 range of insurers for life and critical illness insurance policies
- 4.2.2 limited number of insurers for income protection policies.

5. What will you pay us for our services?

5.1 We do not charge you a fee, as we promote and offer products and services on behalf of the broker, Essential Finance Group (UK) Limited, and in turn we receive remuneration from the product or service provider.

6. How do we use your personal information?

6.1 To deliver our services as is necessary for insurance purposes and fulfil our contractual obligations to you we need to collect information about you and your personal circumstances. We use this information in several different ways, depending on why we need the information and we have measures in place to make sure your personal information is protected when we handle it. If you provide us with information about another person i.e. a partner, you must have their permission to provide their details and you confirm that they know how we will use their personal information. 9. Who regulates us?

10. Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

10.1 We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim.
10.2 Advising and arranging of long term insurance products for the death or incapacity of the policyholder due to injury, sickness, or infirmity is covered for 100% of the claim, without any upper limit. For all other types of policy, insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, without any upper limit.

11. Copyright, licenses and Site content.

11.1 Uklifeinsurance may at any time change, alter, replace, amend or remove any part or all parts of the Service at uklifeinsurance.co.uk's absolute discretion.
11.2 The entire contents of the Site, including any trade marks (whether officially registered or unregistered), trade names, brands and logos belong to us, or people who have who have given us ownership or permission to use such information and/or copyright and as such are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. 14. Third Party Rights.

The provisions of paragraphs 2 (Use of the Service), and 13 (Indemnification) are for the benefit of uklifeinsurance.co.uk and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, brokers, product or service providers and any third-party information providers to the Service. Each of these individuals or entities shall have the right to assert and enforce those provisions directly against you on its own behalf.

16. Miscellaneous

16.1 The validity, construction and performance of these Conditions shall be governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the United Kingdom.
16.2 You agree that any legal action or proceeding between uklifeinsurance.co.uk and you for any purpose concerning this agreement and its conditions or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction sitting in the United Kingdom. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred.
16.3 You acknowledge that uklifeinsurance.co.uk's failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. Uklifeinsurance.co.uk may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
16.4 If any part, term or provision of these Conditions, not being of a fundamental nature, shall be held to be illegal or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of the remainder of these Conditions shall not be affected.
16.5 The waiver of any breach of any provisions of these Conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any subsequent breach of a Condition, nor shall any delay or omission on the part of either party to exercise any right under these Conditions operate as a waiver of any breach or default by the other party.
